Global consulting firm Deloitte has launched a new Digital Center in Jordan, its third in the region alongside similar centers in Dubai and Riyadh.
Based in Amman, the new Digital Center will help Deloitte’s advisors and technologists inform, inspire and support clients across a range of disciplines offered by Deloitte Consulting, and subsidiaries Monitor Deloitte and Deloitte Digital.
“The Digital Center expands our presence in the digital and technology space in the region,” said Rashid Bashir, CEO of Deloitte Consulting at Middle East. “It will enhance and add depth to our professional services offerings and solutions.”
The center’s core focus is around technology offerings, including the likes of digital transformation, enterprise resource planning, artificial intelligence, and data & analytics. In this instance, the center will help tech consulting teams ideate and design solutions, and prototype them to life – before they are deployed larger-scale at client sites.
For Deloitte’s creative and marketing side of the business, the new Digital Center will offer support in fields such as advertising, marketing, e-commerce, and omnichannel.
Meanwhile, other parts of Deloitte’s advisory business (strategy, supply chain, human capital, etc) will be able to leverage the center’s tech-driven innovation foundation to address how digital transformation can advance their client specific cases.
Globally, Deloitte has around 60 Digital Centers worldwide. The first such hub in the region was launched in 2019 in Riyadh (which coincided with the launch of Deloitte Digital in the Middle East), and in 2022, the Big Four firm added a Digital Studio in Dubai (the focus in Dubai is more on tech-backed customer innovation).
Bashir said that the setup in Jordan also demonstrates the firm’s “commitment to the future of Jordan and its youth.”
“Over the next few years, we expect the Digital Center to be home for about 350 professionals, who will play an active role in the work we’re doing for some of the most iconic projects that we run across the region. When ramping up our team, we will be focused on recruiting and nurturing (international) talent, providing opportunities for learning, development, and growth,” he said.
The formal launch event of the Amman-based Digital Center was held under the patronage of HRH Crown Prince of Jordan, Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, who said, “The launch of this center is a great example of a leading international company investing in Jordan’s talent, further strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional digital hub. The center will provide learning, development, and growth opportunities that will help our youth succeed in the digital age.”
