A year after joining Artefact from Boston Consulting Group, Omar Hallak has been promoted to partner at the international data and digital marketing consultancy.

Following an eight year career at strategy consultancies Booz & Company (now Strategy&) and Boston Consulting Group, Omar Hallak crossed to Artefact early 2022 to take charge of its MENA consulting business.

The Lebanese-origin has been tasked with building out Artefact’s consultancy offerings, which includes the likes of data strategy, digital marketing transformation, emerging technology advisory, and data governance. The arm works together with the firm’s technology and solutions business unit to provide an end-to-end offering.

Having overseen “significant growth” in its consulting offerings, serving clients across travel and tourism, real estate, retail, consumer electronics and the public sector, Rahul Arya, the CEO of Artefact for MENA, said that Hallak’s admission into the partnership was fully deserved.

In a process similar to how top tier consulting firms operate, to progress into the partnership candidates have to present a personal business case to a selection committee. At Artefact, candidates are judged on criteria including: achievements over the last year; interaction with senior clients; delivery of projects; commercial acumen; and contribution to team development.

Reflecting on Hallak’s case, Artefact CEO Vincent Luciani said: “The current team of partners across has been impressed by everything Omar has achieved in his time at Artefact. As a partner in our business, I know he will be an inspiring figure for all our colleagues and clients.”

Omar Hallak holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the American University of Beirut.

Artefact has been operating in the MENA region from its base in Dubai since 2013. Last year, the firm opened a new office in Saudi Arabia and moved to a larger office space in Dubai to accommodate its growth and future ambitions.
