Our client is an emerging boutique management consulting firm who have been on a rapid trajectory of growth over the last few years. They have even managed to grow through the pandemic and were looking to greatly expand their UK offering which has been a small arm of the organisation until now. The candidates required were to be IT literate but with a strong Consulting and client facing background.
Our network was strong with these candidates, but we needed to be reserved in our selection based on the hybrid skill set of IT & Consulting required to be successful. There were numerous candidates that were great Consulting options, but they did not have the relevant IT exposure meaning certain target firms were simply not going to be suitable.
We focused our efforts on smaller competitor firms and one candidate began to stand out who had performed well over the four-stage interview process. The candidate was clearly impressed with each interview as our client organized the next stages very swiftly with little delay in the process. This candidate came from a Consulting background with three years experience in Business Systems & Enterprise Architecture. They also had an excellent academic record achieving a 2.1 in Civil Engineering from Russell Group University.
After concluding the interview, a very competitive offer was put forward to our candidate. Consulting Point used their relationship with the candidate to assess progression routes within the business to give the candidate comfort that this was the right move for them, as they also had another offer come through from a competitor firm. After some deliberation, the candidate accepted our clients offer and began the onboarding process.
Both client and candidate thanked us for our expertise in this area and we wish the candidate luck with their new career in this successful engagement.
