Award recognizes KPMG firms’ commitment to accelerating innovation and contributions to Microsoft’s success.

KPMG has been named Microsoft’s Supplier of the Year at this year’s Microsoft Supplier Prestige Awards in recognition of KPMG firms’ commitment to accelerating innovation and boosting employee experiences through artificial intelligence (AI).

The Supplier of the Year award reflects the tangible impact of KPMG and Microsoft’s collaboration in enhancing Microsoft’s own operations and the significant strides made by KPMG firms in helping to drive consulting and tax delivery services excellence, setting a benchmark for other global clients in the industry.

This award recognizes KPMG firms’ contributions to Microsoft’s success as a long-standing supplier of professional services. As a preferred Microsoft supplier for nearly two decades, KPMG teams have collaborated with Microsoft on data and AI-led transformation, cloud and sustainability solutions across a wide range of teams, including tax, financial operations, risk management, legal and HR.

Now in its third year, the Microsoft Supplier Prestige Awards showcase those suppliers whose core values align with Microsoft’s and aims to foster partnership across the supplier ecosystem. The awards celebrate organizations that exemplify strategy, agility, and modernization in areas such as sustainability, accessibility, inclusion, and community engagement.

As part of their collaboration, KPMG professionals and Microsoft have developed a sustainability co-pilot to track supplier Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and help improve the efficiency of reporting for suppliers and procurement procedures. As customer zero for this new solution, Microsoft is testing and refining the co-pilot to then incorporate it as part of the Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability to enable even greater sustainability data analytics for customers.

This work expands on KPMG and Microsoft’s global alliance relationship and commitment to helping to accelerate innovation and drive value for clients using cutting-edge cloud and AI technologies.

Amy Hood, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Microsoft, highlighted the significant impact of KPMG's contributions to the alliance partnership:

"KPMG has put AI and innovation at the forefront and has reshaped its professional services offerings to uplevel employee experience and accelerate innovation. Together, we are creating more value and achieving more together as a result.”

KPMG has also embedded its Trusted AI framework, the cornerstone of KPMG’s commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices, into its alliance with Microsoft. The framework helps to ensure that cutting-edge technologies not only enhance efficiency and innovation, but that their applications adhere to the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct, contributing to a future in which AI is a force for positive change.
