Arthur D. Little has signalled its intent in the Middle East with the hire of four new executives across its offices in Dubai and Riyadh.

The Managing Partner at Arthur D. Little for the Middle East, Thomas Kuruvilla, said the hire of Riadh Marrakchi, Feroz Sanaulla, Alan Martinovich, and Shahid Khan comes in response to growing demand for its expertise in sectors including telecom, automotive, financial services, and industrial manufacturing, among others.

Founded in 1886, Arthur D. Little’s is famed for being the world’s oldest strategic and management consulting firm. In the Middle East, the firm is growing rapidly, and currently has over 200 partners and fee earners.

Riadh Marrakchi joins Arthur D. Little as a partner in the Telecommunications, Information, Media & Electronics practice. He is based out of the company’s Dubai office.

Marrakchi brings extensive experience in ICT ecosystems and telecom business models to the firm, having led and delivered over 100 transformational projects during his 17-year consulting career. Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, he was a Managing Partner at Detecon Consulting (the consulting arm of Deutsche Telekom), based in both the UAE and Germany. He also worked at Siemens in Germany.

Fellow Dubai-based partner Feroz Sanaulla also joins the Technology & Innovation Management practice. A highly experienced management consultant with a strong industry background in both the digital and financial sectors, Sanaulla will focus on clients in the semi-conductor landscape.

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Sanaulla was a partner at Roland Berger, where he led the company’s financial services practice in the Middle East. Before that, he served as Managing Partner at Vecta Strategy and founded and exited a series of digital start-ups. He started his career at Intel, where he latterly served as Managing Director of Intel Capital’s Middle East, Turkey and Africa division.

Meanwhile, Arthur D. Little partners and global practice leaders Alan Martinovich and Shahid Khan have both relocated from the US to Riyadh and Dubai respectively.

Alan Martinovich is the Global Head of Arthur D. Little Growth Competency Center, and initiator of the Automotive and Industrial Practices in the United States. With over 20 years of experience, he advises on corporate competitiveness, business strategy, strategic marketing, and new product development.

Martinovich has been with the global consulting firm for close to five years, previously serving Treacy & Company as a Managing Director.

Shahid Khan is the Global Head of Arthur D. Little’s Media & Entertainment practice. With 25+ years of experience as a management consultant, he has led value creation, digital transformation, growth strategies, and new business launches for leading companies and private equity firms.

Khan joined Arthur D. Little in 2021 as part of its acquisition of MAG, a boutique consulting firm he founded and led. Before that he was a serial entrepreneur and spent over a decade at IBB Consulting Group (now Accenture), BearingPoint, and IBM Consulting.
