Argon & Co has strengthened its logistics offering in New Zealand with the recruitment of the Studio Logistic team.

The recruitment of the team members comes on the back of a two-year collaboration, said Chris Foord, an associate partner at Argon & Co, a global management consultancy that specialises in operations and supply chain.

“We have partnered with Studio Logistic on numerous client projects over the last two years, so we know first-hand their skills, capability, and ways of working. They are a great fit for our New Zealand business and we are delighted that we continue to grow our capacity and capability.”

Founded in 2019, Studio Logistic specialises in intralogistics, providing services such as warehousing and distribution centre design, warehouse process design, automation and technology selection.

The boutique firm is led by founder Richard Mahoney (who now becomes an associate partner at Argon & Co) and further consists of a small team of logistic engineers with a background in industry.

“Collectively the Studio Logistic team brings decades of knowledge and practice in creating outstanding logistic solutions in distribution centre and warehouse services. This addition to our current offering will broaden our scope, scale, intralogistics, and capital projects capability, and adds a base in the Mighty Waikato region,” said Foord.

The move comes just months after Argon & Co boosted its intralogistics team in Australia with the bolt-on of Fuzzy LogX.

“We’ve found the Argon & Co team to be very likeminded and shares a similar passion for making real impact for our clients. In many ways this feels like a natural evolution for all of us to continue that journey as one team. We are excited to be continuing our journey to deliver world class logistics facilities with our new colleagues, within New Zealand and internationally,” said Mahoney.

According to Consultancy.org’s latest ranking of consulting firms, Argon & Co is positioned as one of the leaders in Australia’s supply chain and logistics landscape.
