KPMG US has announced the hiring of eight partners, principals, and managing directors across its tax business line.

Crystal Wiley (principal, asset management tax, New York) joins from PwC, where she served as a tax director. Before that, Wiley was a tax manager at Silver Point Capital.

Christopher Bajec (partner, state and local tax, Fort Worth) rejoins the company from The Energy & Minerals Group, where he was chief tax officer. He previously held various tax roles at KPMG.

Rudy Newell (partner, business tax services, Minneapolis) focuses on alternative investments. He joins from Castlelake, where he was global tax director. Prior to that role, Newell held various positions at EY.

Giorgio Massari Figari (managing director, international tax, Miami) rejoins from Alvarez & Marsal, where he was a senior director for the Latin America complex transactions tax practice. Figari previously worked for SoftBank as tax leader for the Latin America Fund, Opportunity Fund, and Miami Initiative, as well as in the KPMG M&A tax and international tax practices.

Craig Lewis (managing director, business tax services, Atlanta) joins KPMG from Deloitte, where he served as a senior manager in the business tax services practice.

Nicholas Stavrakis (managing director, economic and valuation services, New York) specializes in transfer pricing. Stavrakis returns from Peloton, where he served as a senior director in the international tax function. Prior to that role, he was a managing director in KPMG’s transfer pricing group.

John Anderson (managing director, trade and customs, Denver) joins from Avant International, a boutique export control consulting firm, that he helped establish in 2010.

Stephen Stewart (managing director, state and local tax, Houston) focuses on property tax engagements. Stewart comes from tax consultancy Ryan, where he most recently served as a director in the property tax group. Before that he worked as a tax examiner at the IRS.
