BDO has bolstered its partnership team across the east coast with three new partners.
In Melbourne, Ed Nicholls joins BDO as a partner in the Risk Advisory practice, focused on improving technology risk environments at large organisations across a variety of industries.

To me, this is the most effective way of maintaining a happy and healthy work environment, and it also establishes long-term continuity for supporting the needs of our clients,” Nicholls said.
Nicholls most recently was a director at Deloitte in its Technology and Controls Assurance practice. Before that, he spent fifteen years at EY. During his career, he has worked in Australia, the US, Philippines and Malaysia.
In Sydney, Bill Matley joins as a Business Services Partner, bringing over 20 years of experience to the firm. He focuses on serving small and medium enterprises, including family businesses and local subsidiaries of multinational organisations.
Matley joins BDO from boutique accounting firm Crispin & Jeffrey, where he has been a partner since 2005. “The cultural fit and BDO’s commitment to exceptional service delivery resonated strongly with me and made it an easy decision to join the partnership,” he said.
In Brisbane, Tim Dighton joins as a partner in the Project & Infrastructure Advisory team. A Solicitor by trade, he brings a deep understanding of the regulatory requirements for highly complex mega infrastructure, transport and transformation projects.
“I’m looking forward to joining a strong national practice, with work across some of the most significant and diverse transport and infrastructure jobs in Australia. It’s an exciting time to join the team. BDO’s values, in particular its unwavering focus on its people, was also a big draw card for me,” Dighton said.
Dighton joins BDO from Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads and previously spent years at law firm Gadens.
