Kirk Waldrop, an experienced supply chain and operations consultant, has joined Alvarez & Marsal’s corporate improvement practice as a managing director.

Based in Atlanta, Waldrop has over 26 years of supply chain, transformation, and operations experience. He has supported numerous federal agencies as well as corporate and private equity clients in consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, and health and beauty, among other industries.

Waldrop has expertise in supply chain and logistics operations, facility design, omnichannel strategy and improvement, product lifecycle management, make vs buy strategy, and post-M&A integration and value creation.

He joins Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) from Grant Thornton, where he spent the last three years as a managing director in the sourcing and supply chain practice. Before that, he spent eight years at Chainalytics, a supply chain intelligence and advisory firm, where he was latterly VP and practice leader for supply chain operations.

Earlier in his career, Waldrop spent 11 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led the space, homeland security, and coast guard businesses within the supply chain and logistics practice.

He has an MBA and a master’s degree in logistics and transportation from the University of Maryland, as well as a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
