Sia Partners has continued the growth of its UAE-based senior team with the appointment of a new Managing Director: Fares Hillo.

Based in Abu Dhabi (which also is his hometown), Fares Hillo brings 15 years of consulting and industry experience to the global consultancy, having worked extensively with many of the government, semi-government, and private entities across the Emirate.

Throughout his career, Hillo has led over 50 engagements in strategy planning and execution, sustainability, business transformation, human capital management, corporate governance, and project management.

“Fares’ knowledge of the Abu Dhabi and UAE market, especially in areas of strategy, policy, and transformation, will greatly complement our growth aspirations in the region and is a welcome return to our leadership team,” said Amancio Torres, Managing Partner of Sia Partners in the Middle East.

A familiar face at Sia Partners, Fares was previously appointed as the region’s first Senior Manager after joining the company through its acquisition of ShiftIN Partners in 2018. He subsequently left the company in 2021 after moving away from the Middle East with his family, pursuing an independent consulting career based out of New Zealand.

Hillo holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from University College London, and has completed programs with Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan School of Management, and in ESG practices with the Corporate Finance Institute.

Founded in 1999, Sia Partners currently has 3,000 consultants working from 40+ offices in around 20 countries. The Paris-headquartered group has been on a strong growth trajectory over the past years, in part thanks to a buy-and-build campaign focused across key markets North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Last month, the management consultancy also added Patrick Holzer and Filipe Lyrio to its Managing Director rank in the Middle East.
