Booz Allen Hamilton, a public sector management and technology consultancy, has won a seven-year, $630-million, single-award contract with the US Space Force.
Under the contract, Booz Allen will provide systems engineering and integration services for space-based missile warning, environmental monitoring, surveillance, reconnaissance, and tracking. The McLean, VA-based consultancy will also integrate Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), a $14.4-billion program to upgrade US missile warning and tracking systems.
Booz Allen will leverage its capabilities in digital engineering, mission integration, agile software development, cybersecurity, change management, and AI. Work on the contract will primarily be performed in El Segundo, California and Colorado Springs and Aurora, Colorado.
Booz Allen has 32,600 employees across offices in the US, Netherlands, Germany, Japan, and South Korea.

The consultancy has a long history of supporting the space sector, including 50 years of multifaceted support for the International Space Station, modernization of NASA’s infrastructure and policies, and engineering and analysis for the Artemis missions.

The firm last year won a $622-million contract to provide an array of cybersecurity services to NASA.
Booz Allen recently hired former NASA executive Tom Whitmeyer as an executive advisor in support of its space business.
