KPMG has appointed eight new senior directors in Saudi Arabia to bolster its advisory and audit services in the Kingdom.

In its Advisory division, KPMG welcomed Hani Singer, Khaled Hannun, Osama Rabbani, Stefan Ritsch, and Tariq Bzai to its senior director rank. Meanwhile, Mohammed Saad Hasheem and Mohammed Alkhlaiwi have been named in the Audit division, while Siebe Butter makes the step up in KPMG’s internal Clients & Markets team.

Hani Singer has over 19 years of professional service experience and has been part of the KPMG for the last 13 years. He started with the firm as an associate in corporate finance, steadily progressing to the role of director within markets.

He was the account director for key accounts in the government before transitioning to the advisory function and becoming an instrumental member of the Infrastructure Group.

Hani’s expertise spans various domains such as corporate finance, major projects advisory, project financing, infrastructure, privatization, and public-private partnerships. During his tenure with KPMG, he has worked with clients in both the public and private sectors and continues to play an instrumental role in business growth.

Khaled Hannun has around 16 years of experience in the professional services industry, commencing his career in 2008 at KPMG in Jordan and later joining the Deal Advisory team in 2009. During his tenure, he has worked with flagship clients across various domains, such as corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and investment attraction.

In his current role, he is a key team member of the Investment Attraction solution within the Strategy practice. He assists public sector clients in attracting foreign and domestic investments in Saudi Arabia.

Osama Rabbani has assumed the role of Senior Director in KPMG’s Enterprise Risk Services and is based in Khobar. He was a Partner in KPMG UK and played a key role in establishing a thriving controls transformation business, primarily centered around the Energy and Natural Resources sector.

His experience will also further strengthen KPMG’s in-house leadership capability within internal control.

Osama is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales and has more than 14 years of international experience spanning the United Kingdom, Europe, and other regions. His track record includes the growth of control transformations through cross-collaboration with different solution groups.

Stefan Ritsch has over 20 years of experience in project finance and public-private partnership in the infrastructure sector, specifically focusing on the transport and utilities sub-sectors. He joined KPMG as a Director in 2021 within the Infrastructure Advisory group.

Throughout his career, he has successfully guided public and private sector clients in Australia, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia on over 30 public-private projects, covering the entire procurement process, including the execution of concession agreements.

Stefan has also successfully led monetization strategies, leveraging government assets to generate additional revenue streams via public-private delivery models.

Tariq Bzai has over 20 years of experience in the professional services industry. A qualified CPA, his expertise expands across the assurance and accounting domains. 

He leads the intelligent accounting solution within the Finance and Accounting solution group in his current role. Tariq is focused primarily on public sector entities and leads different large projects spanning services, including cash-to-accrual convergence and accounting support services.

Mohammed Saad Hasheem has been with KPMG in Saudi Arabia since 2017 and is the ESG assurance lead in audit. He leads audit engagements that includes prominent financial, hospitality and public sector clients.

Saad has 15 years of audit and assurance experience serving a wide range of clients, which included blue chip banks, capital market institutions, asset financing houses, currency settlers, asset and wealth management firms, financial technology companies, hospitality entities and investment funds.

Recently, he also was involved with green bond and sustainability reporting assurance engagements for some of KPMG’s largest clients in Saudi Arabia.

Mohammed Alkhlaiwi has 18 years of audit experience. He joined KPMG in the Khobar office in August 2016. He is currently an audit director and lead partner on national and multi-national clients.

Since he joined the firm, Mohammed has played a key role in winning flagship accounts for the audit and cross-selling to other functions in Al Khobar office by leveraging his strong presence in the Eastern Province market and his relationships and networks with the key decision makers.

He contributed significantly to developing KPMG’s Board Leadership Center – a network that champions outstanding governance to help drive long-term corporate value and enhance investor confidence

Siebe Butter is part of the Clients & Markets team and based in Khobar to service the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources client portfolio. He is an experienced professional who has worked with oil, gas, and chemicals industry clients for over 20 years.

Before joining KPMG in 2017, Siebe served two other Big Fours firms in the Netherlands.
