Deloitte has named Rolf Driesen the next CEO of its Belgium organisation. The managing partner of the firm’s consulting business will succeed current CEO, Piet Vandendriessche, per 1 June next year.

Having led Deloitte’s Belgian wing for two consecutive terms, Piet Vandendriessche’s position was up for a refresh. More than 230 partners in Belgium casted their vote for the CEO election process, with Driesen named the clear-cut winner.

Driesen has been with Deloitte since 2002, becoming a partner in 2006. He was appointed as managing partner of the Consulting division in 2016. “Rolf is in an excellent position to take on the role of CEO,” said Nikolaas Tahon, Chair of Deloitte in Belgium.

Under Driesen’s leadership, the Belgian Consulting practice has grown from €107 million in revenues in 2016 to more than €250 million. Headcount meanwhile more than doubled to over 1.850 people.

Filling Vandendriessche’s shoes will however not be an easy task. During his two terms as CEO, the organisation grew from 3,100 people in 2016 to 6,000 today, with revenues up from €432 million in 2016 to €706 million in the 2022 financial year ended 31 May 2022.

“Piet led the firm to become a successful, purpose-driven organisation built on quality, and on commitment to diversity, inclusion and sustainability. And he has made the firm a magnet for talent,” said Driesen.

“I deeply respect how he has led Deloitte and his leadership style. I plan to further build on the strong foundations Piet and the team have laid and will continue to lead the firm towards a successful, sustainable, and bright future for our people, and for our society as a whole.”

In the coming months, Vandendriessche and Driesen will work on a smooth transition. “Rolf is an exceptional leader and I am proud and grateful to be able to pass the baton to him. We have worked together closely for many years, and I know he will do an excellent job as our new leader,” concluded Vandendriessche.

Deloitte has 11 offices in Belgium, including in Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Hasselt, and Leuven.
