Global ratings agency EcoVadis has named EFESO Consulting one of France’s top performing companies in the area of sustainability.
Leveraging a database spanning most of the sustainability standards in the market (such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, the ISO 26000) and performance across over 200 spend categories, EcoVadis is the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings.
Having undergone EcoVadis’ certification process, EFESO Consulting has been awarded a Gold medal for the performance of its French office. According to the EcoVadis report, the consultancy has been ranked as one of the country’s top 5% performers in the country.
“We are delighted to have been certified Gold medal by one of the leading sustainability rating firms. It’s a fantastic recognition of the every day work we do side by side with our people and client to have a true and positive impact on environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement,” said Roberto Maroncelli, General Manager of EFESO Consulting in France.
The Paris-headquartered consulting firm, which has over 800 staff in 35+ countries, thanks its top performance to a two-fold impact. “We work hand-in-hand with our clients to realise their sustainability ambitions, and internally we integrate our sustainability commitments in all our own operating practices,” said Maroncelli.
Among the firm’s key sustainability offerings are: helping clients develop sustainability strategies, realising decarbonisation improvements in supply chains and manufacturing, smart product design, sustainable procurement, and building collaborations with ‘green’ partners in ecosystems.
Meanwhile, within its own operations, EFESO Consulting is lauded by EcoVadis for a range of energy efficiency and green procurement initiatives. The firm also has revised its work and mobility policies to reduce its environmental footprint, while improving the ways of working for consultants and staff.
“The EcoVadis certification recognises EFESO Consulting’s ambition to co-create an industrial future that is more sustainable. It echoes our sustainability and corporate social responsibility commitment focusing on 12 priorities: 6 targeting our impact with and through our clients, and 6 covering our internal operations,” explained Bruno Machiels, Co-CEO of EFESO Consulting.
Luca Lecchi, fellow Co-CEO added: “Our future depends on people who work in innovative, globalised, attractive and fully sustainable industrial operations. Together with our ecosystem we aim at contributing to a better and more sustainable world. This EcoVadis gold certification proves EFESO Consulting is well aligned with this ambition.”
In 2023, a number of other EFESO Consulting country organisations will participate in the EcoVadis certification process.
