Argo Consulting, a Chicago-based operations consulting firm, has merged into EFESO Consulting, a global operations and performance improvement consultancy.
Founded in 1998, Argo provides services in operations strategy and performance improvement, supply chain optimization, lean product development, value engineering, and private equity operations due diligence. The firm works with clients across industrial manufacturing, aerospace and defense, food and beverage, energy, chemicals, life sciences, and private equity.
Argo has approximately 90 employees across offices in Chicago, Houston, Toronto, Calgary, and Munich.
EFESO’s bolt-on of Argo Consulting will grow its global team to approximately 800 people and strengthen its service offerings in operations strategy, performance improvement, and operations due diligence.
The transaction will also significantly bolster the Paris-headquartered firm’s North American presence, where it currently has a New York office.
“We are very excited about Argo joining our group and proud to have been chosen by one of the greatest operations consulting success stories of the last 20 years,” said Luca Lecchi, co-CEO of EFESO Consulting.
“Argo creates outstanding value to organizations with excellent capabilities in designing and implementing operations solutions for and with clients.”
The move is part of EFESO’s strategy to strengthen its position as a global player in the operations consulting world. The deal is EFESO’s first since its summer 2021 integration of Czipin, an Austria-based operations consultancy with a team of 20 professionals.
“Like EFESO, we are hands-on consultants who work in the trenches with our clients, delivering tangible results,” said Fernando Assens, CEO at Argo. “Argo Consulting was founded on the philosophy of breaking through the traditional barriers of the consultant-client relationship. This merger of Argo and EFESO will help us provide an even broader set of expertise and value to our clients.”
EFESO Consulting provides consulting services in operations strategy, manufacturing excellence, Industry 4.0, and procurement and supply chain optimization, among other areas. The firm has 35 offices across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia.
