Three years after departing KPMG for another large consultancy, Charbel Moussa has re-joined the Big Four firm in the Netherlands as a partner in its Climate Risk & Decarbonisation practice.
“I am excited that, ten years after joining KPMG for the first time, I’m now back at the firm as a partner,” said Moussa on his move.
After spending his childhood and university years in Lebanon, Moussa moved to the United Kingdom to complete master’s and doctorate degrees at the University of Bath.
With five years of experience in Dubai at JP Morgan Chase under his belt, where he focused on sustainable finance contracts and deals, Moussa landed in the Netherlands in 2012, joining KPMG’s Dutch member firm as a senior consultant.
During his seven years at the consulting firm, Moussa grew the ranks to associate director, and built a track record of delivering strategic and sustainability related engagements for clients in the oil & gas and (petro)chemical sectors, with a portfolio of clients including Shell, Statoil, SABIC, DSM, AkzoNobel, The Linde Group, Maersk Oil, ExxonMobil, Qatar Gas, Qatar Petroleum, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
His track record of projects includes energy management services, renewable energy and clean technology feasibility studies, portfolio scan and assessment, future outlook of technology scenarios and capacity building. In addition, he has supported numerous clients with sourcing related environmental certificates, such as carbon or guarantees of origins.
Now returning to KPMG following a three-year sting at Accenture, “I much look forward to join forces with Michael Hayes, Ubbo van Zessen, Marco Frikkee, Jerwin Tholen, Arnoud Walrecht and Danielle Landesz to harness the power of KPMG, engage with our clients to learn their evolving challenges and partner with them on sustainable solutions.”
On LinkedIn, Moussa took the time to thank many of his “fantastic colleagues” at Accenture. “I learned a lot at Accenture, and it was not easy to leave those who provided support, inspiration and leadership.”
