Boston Consulting Group has promoted Eelke Kraak to managing director and partner in the Amsterdam office.
Commenting on the major milestone in his career, Kraak stated on LinkedIn, “I feel honoured and grateful to become part of Boston Consulting Group’s partnership.”
For Kraak, the promotion to managing director and partner (he already was a partner since early 2020) is the crown on his fast-track rise through the firm’s ranks. He joined the consulting firm in 2012 as an associate consultant, and enjoyed five promotions over the past decade – placing him among one of the fastest growers within the Dutch office.
Over the past ten years, Kraak specialised on projects in the utilities and oil & gas sectors, working both for corporates as well as investors. He has served clients across the globe, having worked from Boston Consulting Group’s offices in the Netherlands, Africa, South America, and the Middle East.
From a functional perspective, Kraak specialises in strategy, corporate development and mergers & acquisitions – his deals track record spans 50+ transactions in the energy space.
Recent projects he worked on include: providing buy and sell side support to energy companies, supporting the digital transformation of a large oil & gas player, and helping various clients advance their energy transition agenda. Alongside his client facing work, Kraak is currently recruiting director for Boston Consulting Group’s Amsterdam office.
Commenting on the appointment, Dirk-Maarten Molenaar, Managing Partner of Boston Consulting Group in the Netherlands, said: “I am delighted to congratulate Eelke on his promotion. It’s a well-deserved recognition for the impact he has had at clients and in our Energy practice. We are fortunate to have his talent, passion and dedication on board.”
