Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLP (A&M Taxand), an affiliate of leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), has appointed Kathy Lloyd and Chris Prout as London-based Senior Directors. Their hires advance A&M Taxand’s strategic expansion plans and the firm’s Reward & Employment Tax expertise.

With over 20 years of experience, Ms. Lloyd will focus on employment tax transformations, technical advice, and compliance procedures. Mr. Prout, who brings more than 25 years of experience, brings expertise to support our large private equity clients with the design and implementation of both UK and international management equity plans supporting a wide range of transactions.

Ms. Lloyd specializes in HR and payroll transformations, commercial carve-outs, IR35 and employment status reviews, employee/employer redundancy programs, governance and compliance procedures, expense and benefit reviews and policy design. Prior to joining A&M Taxand, she led EY’s Payroll and Employment Tax Advisory practice.

Mr. Prout has extensive experience advising private equity firms and investment companies on multi-jurisdiction equity remuneration arrangements. He has worked on equity plan designs for large public companies and drafted the design plan rules/agreements for implementation. Prior to joining A&M Taxand, he served as an Executive Director with EY’s International Transaction Tax group.

Collectively, Ms. Lloyd and Mr. Prout have worked across multiple industries including financial services, infrastructure, IT, biotech, retail, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, media, government & defence, aviation and commodities.
