Boston Consulting Group (BCG) continues to expand its digital capabilities by acquiring Wingg, a Brazilian data science and software development startup. Wingg has built a personalized virtual assistant to support companies’ sales staff, leveraging people-science and machine-learning techniques.

The newly acquired firm broadens the capabilities of BCG GAMMA, the analytics powerhouse of BCG that leverages world class analytics and artificial intelligence to unlock the business performance potential of the world’s leading companies.

Wingg will be fully integrated into BCG GAMMA and become part of the BCG ecosystem.

According to Sylvain Duranton, managing director and senior partner, and founder of BCG GAMMA, “This acquisition enables us to complement our offering and create a truly integrated, seamless client experience for GAMMA’s Intelligent Sales Assistant, our bionic sales force platform that has already been successfully used by several clients in Brazil.”

BCG and Wingg have a long history of collaboration, having worked together on a number of digital transformation projects in Brazil.

“We are excited for Wingg to become part of the BCG family and are looking forward to jointly accelerating the growth trajectory of our advanced analytics and AI business in Brazil and beyond,” said Henrique Sinatura, managing director and partner, and leader of the BCG GAMMA hub in Brazil.

“Joining BCG GAMMA gives us the opportunity to tackle the most challenging projects in AI, bringing state-of-the-art solutions to top companies worldwide and increasing the ability to transform companies holistically. Our entire team is extremely excited and looking forward to join forces with BCG,” said Leonardo Teixeira, the founder of Wingg.
