Global strategy consulting firm Roland Berger has appointed four new partners in China.

The new partners have been admitted into the firm’s partnership following a record year for the consulting firm, with Global Managing Partner Stefan Schaible late week unveiling that Roland Berger in 2021 achieved the highest fee income in its 55-year history, despite the continued disruption caused by the pandemic.

Across its over 50 offices in 35+ countries, Roland Berger promoted a total of 20 individuals to the leadership position of partner, including Lei Li, Ivy Sun, Neil Wu and Wenbo Yuan in China.

Lei Li has more than seven years of consulting experience, and has extensive experience in strategy development, due diligence and operation improvement. He works for clients across sectors, with a focus on organisations in the airline, airport, express, logistics and road transportation.

Besides transportation related projects, Li also led projects in real estate, energy and consumer goods during his consulting career.

Ivy Sun is the core leader of Roland Berger’s chemical team in China, providing in-depth experience and insights into the basic chemical industry, fine chemicals, biochemicals, and new materials. She specialises in enterprise growth and operations improvement, serving both domestic and foreign companies.

Neil Wu has more than ten years management consulting experience, focusing on strategy development, business transformation, organisation optimisation and investment advice.

As an expert in the automotive industry, Wu has strong expertise at every stage of the automotive value chain with a focus on topics like new-energy-vehicles, connectivity, mobility, used cars, independent-aftermarket, and new retail, strategic insights and business transformations.

Wenbo Yuan is an expert in automotive industry, with over a decade of professional consulting and management experience. His client portfolio includes multinationals, listed companies, OEMs, suppliers, distributors and investors.

Yuan’s track record includes delivering strategic projects across the automotive value chain, from new energy vehicles, smart mobility, parts business and aftersales. He also has strong expertise in operational, functional strategy and organisational structure optimisation.
