Metyis has entered the French market through the acquisition of Southpigalle, a design and technology boutique in Paris with 25 staff.

The acquisition is Metyis’ first in 2022, and provides the global advisory and technology firm with entry into Europe’s third largest economy. Across the continent, Metyis now has 13 offices in 8 countries (as well as an office in India).

Senior Partner and Executive Board Member at Metyis, Yogen Singh, said the foray into France was a natural next step in the firm’s growth strategy. “We have the ambition to drive impact across the globe. Having a presence in the important French market enables us to strengthen our network to existing and future business partners.”

Founded in 2015, Southpigalle’s comprises a team of data scientists, technologists, developers and creative designers. The firm helps its clients across sectors (with a focus on retail, e-commerce, luxury, and technology companies) with designing digital change, and then bringing concepts to life.

For Southpigalle, the joining of forces with the international player (Metyis has more than 1,000 staff) will enable the firm to “add scale and double down on its ambition to deliver the best digital solutions to the most inspiring companies,” said Louis de Cointet, a leader at Southpigalle.

In addition, “we are very culturally aligned. We share the same culture, values, entrepreneurial mindset, and client-centric focus,” added Olivier de Cointet, a former 13-year Booz & Company consultant and founder of Southpigalle.

As part of the integration, both De Cointets and two other senior Southpigalle leaders – Pascal Plat and Henri d'Anterroches – have become a partner at Metyis.

“Scale is essential for addressing our clients’ most pressing digital and technological challenges. Metyis’ global footprint will accelerate our ability to serve them across the globe,” remarked Plat.

D'Anterroches said that the firm prides itself on the track record it has built, and now looks forward to its next chapter within the Metyis team. “We’re hugely excited by this move. Our team is looking forward to contributing to the strong growth of Metyis in the years to come.”

Metyis previously used a similar local deal approach to enter Switzerland (through Boydak Strategy Consulting in 2021) and the Middle East (Vecta Strategy in 2019).
