Capgemini continues to deepen its relationship with DWP, one of the strategic accounts within its UK public sector business. It has won a contract, to deliver outcome-based DevOps Services to support the DWP electronic exchange of social security information (EESSI).
The contract’s base value is stated as £20.6m, with the potential for it to reach £30.6m with extensions. The contract is running for 12 months from September 2022. Under the contract, which was won via G-Cloud 12, Capgemini will support DWP’s delivery management via 12 Sprints.
This win aligns well with Capgemini’s strategy to be a leading digital platforms partner to UK Government, as highlighted in our PublicSectorViews’ UK Public Sector SITS Supplier Prospects 2022 and Beyond report. Last year, the company won a substantial £60m contract with the DWP Money & Pensions Service to deliver the Pension Dashboard’s central digital architecture. A quick contract search reveals the wins with DWP have continued to roll in this year, with numerous wins valued at several million pounds. Those wins include a contract, won last month, and valued at £1.3m, to deliver Outcome Based Agile Transformation Services in support of the DWP’s Fraud, Error, and Debt Transformation Programme.
