Global management consultancy Analysys Mason has appointed Giovanni Parenti as partner and head of its Milan office.

The consultancy focused on telecoms, media and technology (TMT) has been active in Italy since 2001, when the firm launched its office in Milan.

Now leading the country team is Giovanni Parenti, who brings around 25 years of experience gained both in industry and consulting to the role. “I am impressed by Analysys Mason’s capabilities and am excited to help the firm achieve its growth objectives in the Italian market.”

Parenti joins Analysys Mason from Italian specialist consultancy Strategic Management Partners, where he led the TMT and Innovation practices delivering a range of strategy, transformation and change management projects.

Prior to his eight years at Strategic Management Partners (Parenti also served the consultancy for five years earlier in his career), he held various executive roles at WarnerMedia, latterly serving as General Manager of the Turner division and a board member at Boing, a unit that provides free-to-air television to Italian children and teenagers.

Bram Moerman, Global CEO of Analysys Mason, said: “I am delighted to welcome Giovanni to the firm.”

Headquartered in London, Analysys Mason specialises in four key consulting areas: strategy; transaction support; business transformation; regulation and policy. The firm also has a well-known research division.

In Italy, the firm has long-term relationships with clients including TIM (previously Telecom Italia), Open Fiber (previously Metroweb), Wind Tre, H3G, and Sky, as well as investors and private equity groups active in the TMT landscape.

“Italy has always been a key market in terms of innovation in telecoms, media and technology, and we will continue to support the strategies and transformation process of our clients,” said Parenti.
