Bain & Company has welcomed former McKinsey partner Mourad Limam to its partnership in Dubai.

Mourad Limam joins the global strategy consulting firm from Henkel, where he spent the past two years as Head of Emerging Markets for the Adhesives Technologies business. In the role, he was responsible for financials and business growth, and led a team across the Middle East, India and Africa region.

Now at Bain & Company, Limam is a leader in the firm’s Private Equity (which in the Middle East focuses on sovereign wealth funds), Advanced Manufacturing, Real Estate and Infrastructure practices.

“I’m delighted to be joining Bain & Company and for the opportunity to work with an array of clients, adding value through my investment and development experience in the Middle East,” Limam said.

“It’s an exciting time for the region, with plenty of strategic growth opportunities to leverage, especially as we are seeing major government investments across key geographies. I look forward to the challenge and to helping the team create innovative solutions for our valued partners.”

Originally trained in Germany, graduating with a PhD in Automotive Mechatronics from the Technical University of Dresden and a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Stuttgart, Limam previously spent over a decade at McKinsey & Company, where he rapidly rose the ranks in Germany and the UAE and became a partner after just eight years at the consultancy.

Most recently at McKinsey, Limam co-led the firm’s Affordable Housing service line, spanning the full value chain including demand management, land supply, development and construction, financing and operations & management.

“Mourad’s wealth of experience as an advisor and executive, and proven leadership track record – with particular depth in real estate and infrastructure – will enable us to provide even more innovative solutions to our clients. I am confident that he will add significant value to our wide range of corporate, government, and investor clients in the Middle East,” said Tom De Waele, Managing Partner at Bain & Company Middle East.

The appointment comes at a time of growth for Bain & Company in the region. Last month the firm added the female duo Karen Khalaf and Elif Koc to its partnership, and in the summer Ahmed Boshnak re-joined the firm as partner and office leader of its Riyadh office.
