Global management and digital consulting firm Metyis has expanded into Switzerland with the acquisition of local player Boydak Strategy Consulting.
The bolt-on sees Switzerland become the seventh European market Metyis is active in, and tenth globally. The consultancy, which has its roots in the Netherlands, had previously over the past years rapidly expanded into Spain, Portugal, Germany, Denmark and the United Kingdom in Europe, and India, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
“This is a great next step in our global journey to bring long-lasting impact and growth to our partners and clients,” said Yogen Singh, the Amsterdam-based global managing partner of Metyis. “We are excited to have completed the acquisition of Boydak Strategy Consulting that will allow clients and partners to gain access to an entrepreneurial Swiss team with a wealth of localised knowledge.”
Founded in 2003 in Zurich, Boydak is an independent consulting firm that specialises in three main areas of expertise – strategic advisory, organisational transformation and digital transformation.
The practice transferring to Metyis, Boydak Strategy Consulting, has a team of around ten consultants and is a leading player in the country. Last year the firm was named a top strategic consultancy by Bilanz and Finanz und Wirtschaft (‘Die Besten Schweizer Berater’) for the quality of its client offerings.
The firm is led by partners Benjamin Opel and Dominic Olonetzky, and director Mari-Carmen Marx.
“After being approached by the leadership team of Metyis a while ago, it quickly became apparent that we have an aligned vision for the future of consulting and enjoy synchronised company cultures,” explained Olonetzky.
Marx added, “With our shared values of boldness, entrepreneurship, integrity and passion, we saw a great cultural alignment as well as a joint aspiration on how to deliver (digital) transformation to our clients.”
Together, they aim to further scale the business in Switzerland, through organic growth in the country and the addition of a Swiss-based platform to Metyis’ existing client base. Singh: “Our international clients now have an exceptional and entrepreneurial Swiss team at their fingertips.”
“We are overjoyed to add our team, network and capabilities to a great global firm such as Metyis. We are excited and dedicated to driving the Metyis growth story in Switzerland and look forward to continuing to reinvent consulting for the benefit of our clients and partners,” concluded Olonetzky.
Formerly operating as YGroup (rebranded in March this year), Metyis blends a traditional strategy and management consulting offering with data analytics and technology. The firm is renowned for its partnership-based way of working with clients, which it backs with a managed services offering and a soon to be launched campus in Portugal.
