For Amane Dannouni, Managing Director and Partner at BCG, pushing into Northern Africa is a logical next step in this journey. “North Africa is a critical element of BCG’s global, digital expansion plan; and ensuring that we have feet on the ground in the region is the first step in our commitment to bringing the latest technologies and solutions to the market.”
Hamid Maher, Managing Director and Partner, added: “BCG Platinion has already played a crucial part in many digital transformation journeys. We’re excited to bring our success to Africa, using cutting-edge technology to deliver the impact that will elevate African businesses and make them a force to be reckoned with over the coming years.”
The new BCG Platinion outfit will work closely together with BCG Gamma in Casablanca, which launched two years ago and currently employs 20 professionals. “The expanded capabilities will offer a new level of expertise within BCG to give support on a wide range of technology transformation projects, from strategy to implementation and execution,” remarked Adham Abouzied, Managing Director and Partner.
Facing booming demand for digitisation in Africa (according to BCG, the speed of digitisation in Africa is growing at the steepest growth rate in the world), both arms have announced ambitious plans. BCG Platinion aims to reach a size of 50 in its initial two years, and 100 by 2026. BCG Gamma is predicted to grow to 35 by 2023, and roughly 70 by 2026.
BCG Platinion provides consulting and technology services in IT architecture, large-scale data, and the implementation of systems and solutions. BCG Gamma specialises in advanced data science solutions, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning.
