FTI Consulting has strengthened its Corporate Finance and Restructuring team in the Middle East with a trio of senior hires from Big Four firm KPMG.

Zuhaib Khan and Ravi Dhanak both were directors at KPMG before crossing over to FTI Consulting, while John Arnold was an Associate Director. Each of them brings over a decade of experience in mergers & acquisitions, including a number of years based in the region.

Appointed a Managing Director, Khan main focus is transaction services (buy-side and sell-side), financial restructuring and IPO advisory across a variety of sectors. During his 15 year career, he has conducted financial due diligence (buy-side and sell-side) across over 75 local and regional transactions for government, corporate and private equity clients.

Khan has represented clients on a number of large M&A transactions and financial restructurings for UAE-based government and private sector businesses and has been part of a number of pre IPO readiness and IPO exercises on the London Stock Exchange, NASDAQ Dubai and Dubai Financial markets.

Appointed a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance and Restructuring wing, Dhanak focuses on transaction services, in particular on buy-side and sell-side services, as well as IPO advisory across multiple sectors. He previously spent three years at KPMG, following an eight-year stint at rival PwC.

Also appointed a Senior Director, Arnold specialises in valuations. He has during his twelve-year career at KPMG conducted buy and sell-side advisory valuations, financial reporting valuations, purchase price allocations and independent fair valuations across a wide range of sectors, with a focus on the financial services industry.
