Anton Ruddenklau has relocated from the UK to Singapore to lead the firm’s local Financial Services practice.

Commenting on his new role, Anton Ruddenklau said: “I’m looking forward to the exciting new journey in Singapore, a leading global financial hub with a progressive regulator. My vision is to strengthen KPMG’s proposition as a digital beacon for our clients, the markets we serve and our global network.”

Ruddenklau brings over fifteen years of Big Four consulting experience to KPMG in Singapore, having previously served the firm’s UK arm for six years and rival PwC for just under a decade. Most recently, he served as Global Co-Leader of Fintech for KPMG International, and a Partner and the Head of Digital & Innovation for Financial Services at KPMG UK.

Prior to working in financial services, Ruddenklau worked on projects with many large global corporates in the consumer and technology sectors.

“Anton’s wealth of global leadership experience will help guide our clients through a highly disruptive period for financial services,” said Ong Pang Thye, managing partner of KPMG in Singapore. “Given the rising demand for transformation projects in the Asian marketplace, his understanding of growth strategies and financial technology innovations will enable us to deliver more effective results for our clients.”

In the role, Ruddenklau will oversee KPMG’s full breadth of services to financial services institutions including consulting, audit, assurance, tax, and financial advisory.

He reports to China-based Simon Gleave, KPMG’s Head of Financial Services for the Asia Pacific region.
