FTI Consulting, Inc. announced the continued investment in its Health Solutions practice with the recent addition of six U.S.-based Managing Directors, including Francis LaMorte, Harris Leitner, Daniel O’Donnell, Christopher Sdao, Melody Thompson and Mark Van Ert.

Dr. LaMorte, based in Boston, has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare as a management consultant, chief executive and emergency physician. He specializes in designing and directing clinical process innovations and financial performance improvements for academic health enterprises, private equity-backed healthcare companies and physician practice management companies.

Mr. Leitner, based in New York, has more than 18 years of experience in healthcare administration at large academic health systems and in professional services. He specializes in service delivery, ambulatory operations, technology enablement and revenue cycle management, and focuses on applying innovative techniques to optimize and improve business processes.

Mr. O’Donnell, based in Washington, D.C., has almost 30 years of experience in revenue cycle, supply chain, operations and process improvement. He is a financially oriented healthcare executive with broad business model knowledge ranging from freestanding and hospital-based clinic operations to home health, skilled nursing, assisted and independent living, emergency room, urgent care and imaging.

Mr. Sdao, based in New York, has more than 25 years of experience leading change within complex organizations and driving business units to higher levels of performance. He has worked in senior-level roles within large academic medical centers and at several revenue cycle technology companies to provide and implement solutions that successfully increase revenue, reduce expense and create higher levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

Ms. Thompson, based in Atlanta, has more than 25 years of experience in the executive leadership, development and operations of physician practice groups in academic, for-profit and non-profit settings. She specializes in managing people and change, particularly the conflict surrounding change. Her areas of expertise include physician/hospital integration, practice acquisition, physician relations, multi-site healthcare operations, and process and strategy development.

Mr. Van Ert, based in Washington, D.C., has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience at major healthcare and financial services firms. He has held executive roles in finance, corporate development, analytics and operations, and he has led several organizational restructurings. His performance improvement experience includes corporate capital restructuring, balance sheet rationalization and operational re-engineering to improve organizational profitability and stability.
