A Seattle-based consulting firm plans to add several hundred jobs in Chicago.
Slalom, a business and tech advisory firm, announced it will hire more than 300 new developers and consultants here, hoping to grow its Chicago team to 1,000 people by the end of the year.
It's the company's biggest hiring announcement in Chicago so far, according to a Slalom spokeswoman.
Over the past five years, the company has ramped up hiring in Chicago, adding 200 people between 2016 and 2018. Last year the company added 171 local employees. Chicago is Slalom's second-biggest office.
To accommodate all the new hires, the company moved to the Aon Center in 2018, leasing 65,000 square feet on two floors.
The Chicago team will be led by Ali Minnick and Carrie Steyer, who have been appointed general managers. They are targeting 200 percent revenue growth by 2025 for the Chicago office alone.
The two women will replace Tom Snapp, founding general manager of the company's Chicago office. Snapp will continue his role as Midwest Region general manager, supporting Slalom’s offices in Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Minneapolis and Columbus, Ohio.
Slalom, founded in 2001, operates in 35 markets globally. It has over 8,000 employees and more than $1 billion in annual revenue.
