Boutique advisory firm Maven Investment Partners has welcomed former EY leader Murtaza Chevel to its team as a senior partner.
Murtaza Chevel brings over 30 years of experience spanning the Gulf Cooperation Council, Europe and North America to Maven Investment Partners, a Dubai-headquartered advisory firm that specialises in corporate finance, M&A advisory, restructuring, and corporate governance.
After spending the first 16 years of his career at EY, where he grew the ranks to become leader of its Corporate Finance practice in Canada and leader of its Valuations practice in the Middle East, Chevel then held executive roles in industry, mainly in the financial services landscape. In recent years, he worked as an executive consultant, advising leaders on strategic transformations, CFO matters, and financial transactions, among others.
“We are thrilled to welcome Murtaza to our team. He is an outstanding advisor with proven dedication to client service. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow and serve our clients’ needs,” said Umar Saleem, Co-Founder and CEO of Maven Investment Partners.
At Maven Investment Partners, Chevel will focus on winning new clients and projects in the Saudi market. “I am excited to join Maven Investment Partners and work alongside such a talented and dynamic team. I look forward to contributing to the firms’ continued success and offering strategic advice to our clients on corporate finance and corporate governance related matters,” he said.
