Altman Solon, a strategic consulting firm focused exclusively on the telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) sectors, has promoted David Dellea to partner in its Zurich office.

Two years after joining Altman Solon, David Dellea has now joined its partnership, bringing over 25 years of experience in industry and consulting.

A member of the Sports practice, Dellea works with sports federations, leagues, technology providers and investors on a wide array of topics, including corporate strategy, sports rights monetisation, and digital strategy, as well as private equity investments.

“The past two years have been a strong period of growth for our global Sports practice, as we’ve helped our clients navigate an unprecedented convergence of sports, technology, media, and the investor community,”

said Dellea.

“This growth is a testament to sports clients around the world recognising the value of a specialised strategy consultancy.”

Formed in 2000 through the merger of Altman Vilandrie & Company and Solon Management Consulting, Altman Solon has 13 offices across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania, with Zurich one of its six offices in Europe.

Dan Lerner, managing partner at Altman Solon, said the consultancy is delighted to welcome Dellea to its partner team.

“Working closely with our media, technology, and transaction experts, David has significantly expanded our client base across various sectors in sports, cementing our firm’s position in the sports industry, all while allowing us to service our base of private equity clients evaluating sports as a new asset class.”

Before joining Altman Solon, Dellea spent years in consulting, most recently leading the Sports practice of PwC in the UK. Earlier, he also worked for the Swiss arm of PwC. In between, he led a boutique sports marketing agency and was co-founder of a sports tech wearable start-up.
