David Critchley has joined SGS Maine Pointe, a supply chain and operations consulting firm, as managing director of business development for the industrial and consumer products and services sector.

Based in Dallas, Critchley is a consulting executive with three decades of experience in business development, operations and supply chain, and mechanical design and engineering.

He has worked across a range of industries, with a specialization in the consumer and industrial products sector. His previous consulting engagements include working with an oil specialty products firm to redesign their operating model and supply chain for $100 million in savings and helping a telecom firm transform their ordering, provisioning, and installation of services for a 30% improvement of customer delivery time.

Critchley joins SGS Maine Pointe from consulting firm West Monroe, where he spent four years as a business development executive in the consumer and industrial products sector.

Before that, he spent seven years with Accenture, where he was a senior principal in the strategy practice. Critchley was also previously a senior managing consultant at IBM and a director of operational excellence at Coca-Cola.

He began his career as an R&D engineer at Varian Medical Systems before moving on to General Electric, where he was a mechanical design leader in the transportation division and an ERP manager in the energy division.

Critchley has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah and is a Six Sigma master black belt.
