Two former board-level advisors at Instinctif Partners have joined Vigo Consulting in leadership roles.

Strategic comms firm Vigo Consulting has hired Tim McCall in the new position of managing director.

McCall, who has been a strategic board-level advisor for over 25 years, was previously managing partner and head of capital markets at Instinctif Partners.

Earlier in his career, McCall was a director of the financial PR firm Hogarth, which became MHP. He played a key role in the creation of MHP as its chief operating officer.

He also worked for nearly three years as director of corporate affairs at the over-50s-focused business Saga.

In his new role, McCall will be responsible for building Vigo’s financial services, real estate and construction capability.

In addition, Rozi Morris joins Vigo as a director, with over 17 years of board-level financial and corporate advisory experience.

Having focused on technology at comms firm College Hill, she moved into healthcare and life sciences in 2014, setting up the comms and investor relations function at Silence Therapeutics. More recently, she was a director in the capital markets team at Instinctif Partners, advising clients across growth companies, healthcare, medtech, biotech and pharma.

Commenting on his new role, McCall said:

“It is an exciting time to be joining Vigo. The changing needs of clients, ever-evolving audiences and changes in our industry create an exceptional opportunity.”

“Vigo’s people, track record, focus on growth and entrepreneurial spirit mean we are well placed to make the most of that opportunity. I am looking forward to working with the team to continue to build one of the UK’s leading independent strategic communications consultancies.”

Morris added:

“I’m looking forward to building on what we do best – providing senior strategic counsel to some of the most interesting growth businesses in the UK and beyond. Working with Vigo to provide truly independent advisory, we can be as flexible as we need to suit client demand across an even broader range of sectors.”

Patrick d’Ancona, chief executive of Vigo Consulting, commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Tim and Rozi to Vigo. Working across public and private companies, their client-led approach focuses on building long-term relationships and multi-disciplinary experience, which means they have worked with some of the world’s leading companies.”

“This is a significant development for Vigo as we further strengthen our senior team and add exceptional capabilities in financial services, real estate and construction, and healthcare and life sciences, to our market-leading offering in TMT, natural resources, energy and support services.”

The agency provides senior strategic counsel and business communications for public and private companies, as well as financial and corporate PR and investor relations. Vigo’s clients include Keystone Law Group, Team17, Serica Energy and Genel Energy.
