Deloitte has named Jo Ahmed as its practice senior partner for the North West to lead its team of more than 1,300 people in the region and drive its growth.
She will succeed Andy Westbrook, who is stepping down as senior partner after six years.
Ms Ahmed has more than 25 years in business advisory services and has been at Deloitte since 2004. As well as her North West role, she also leads Deloitte’s global mobility practice, advising clients on the challenges of managing cross-border employment structures.
In the North West she leads a combined team of over 1,350 people working with private, public sector and international clients. She will focus particularly on climate and sustainability programmes, as well as working on existing growth areas including digital, cyber, private equity and real estate. And she will lead projects including the opening of the Manchester 100 Embankment office.
Ms Ahmed is a founding board member and deputy chair of the Manchester India Partnership. She is also honorary consul for Japan in Manchester, and recently travelled to Japan with Andy Burnham to help grow trade and academic links.
