Ray Messom, an experienced healthcare executive, has joined management consultancy Nous Group as a principal and leader of the Canadian health & ageing practice.
Based in Vancouver, Messom is returning to Canada after 12 years in Australia, where he held several leadership roles in the healthcare sector.
He most recently spent five years as CEO of WentWest, Western Sydney’s primary health network, overseeing more than 6,000 medical and support staff and more than A$1 billion of health services annually.
Before that, Messom spent six years at the New South Wales Ministry of Health, where he was executive director of the system information and analytics branch. In the role, he led data, analytics, and digital improvements across 228 hospitals and drive improvements in health system purchasing, performance, management and integration, and patient experience.Healthcare executive Ray Messom joins Nous Group as principal Prior to that, he spent seven years at PwC Canada and PwC Australia, latterly as associate director for economics and policy within the advisory services practice. He began his career at Natural Resources Canada, where he was an economist.
Messom has a master’s degree in business economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dalhousie University.
