Enterprises worldwide are racing to adopt AI, but amid the hype, no consensus has emerged on how to best implement the new technology. With every enterprise's AI adoption journey is unique and involves an interplay of AI and existing enterprise capabilities, adapting a business to leverage it – especially at scale – requires an intimate understanding of the enterprise, its practices and building AI models that are customised for the context.

To that end, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced an expanded partnership with chip-giant Nvidia, to launch industry-specific solutions and offerings that will help customers adopt AI faster and at scale. These solutions and offerings will be delivered through TCS’ new wing, focused on Nvidia, under its AI.Cloud unit.

TCS’ new NVIDIA-focused unit builds on a partnership of over five years, brings together the complementary capabilities of both the organisations and offers tailored offerings for various industries. According to a release from the two firms, this latest partnership has seen the firms collaborate to build several offerings powered by the Nvidia AI framework and AI Stack. These include specific solutions for manufacturing and industrials; banking, financial services, and insurance; retailers; telecom firms; and producers of autonomous vehicles.

Siva Ganesan, head of TCS’ AI.Cloud unit, said, “Curated AI journeys are derived at the intersection of deep-domain and deep-tech. This is a space that TCS has excelled at during every business transformation cycle. Our unique vantage point, at the intersection of business and technology, helps us identify the right opportunities for our customers. With the NVIDIA AI platform providing a robust backbone, our unparalleled scale and proven track record in delivering value, our customers now have a means to faster value realisation.”

TCS is the latest consulting firm to draw up closer ties with Nvidia, as its clients look to make the most of the AI gold rush. Earlier in October, Accenture also announced it would form a new Nvidia Business Group, with 30,000 professionals being trained globally, to help the world’s enterprises rapidly scale their AI adoption.
