Esben Christensen, who also co-leads logistics and transportation at AlixPartners, commented, “Brian’s extensive expertise in transportation, supply chain management, and logistics will greatly benefit our clients at a time when creating resilience in a supply chain and cost optimisation has never been more important.”
Companies reliant on international supply chains have faced a challenging 12 months, with inflation, high energy costs, as Israel’s invasion of Lebanon opens up a new front in the ‘Red Sea Crisis’, and the war in Ukraine continues to cause significant disruption to business operations worldwide. Amid this, AlixPartners is seeing demand for its supply chain advisory services rise rapidly.
Helping to meet this demand, Nemeth will be based in Denmark, where he will work closely with AlixPartners’ London office as co-head of logistics and transportation. He will also serve as a managing director in the firm’s performance and technology practice, in a move that further enhances the firm’s ability to address the complex challenges facing today’s global supply chains.
The news sees Nemeth re-join AlixPartners, having previously spent 12 years in the firm’s Hong Kong and New York offices – where he worked with leading transportation companies on their strategies, revenue growth, value creation and M&A cycle. Most recently, he also spent a year as chief growth and strategy officer at STG Logistics, a transportation company, where he was responsible for steering the company’s overall strategy, leading mergers and acquisitions, and driving organic commercial growth.
Commenting via a LinkedIn post with almost 700 interactions from colleagues and well-wishers, Nemeth added, “I want to thank my former colleagues at STG Logistics for an incredibly rewarding industry experience, and I look forward to watching STG Logistics continue to grow as the premier Port-to-Door service provider in North America… Since I joined AlixPartners 14 years ago, I have watched the firm continue to grow its capabilities globally and I am looking forward to continuing that growth by introducing more people to what we are capable of and how we can help them solve all of their most challenging business problems. I am very excited for this next chapter!”
