Big Four veteran Hassan Alami has found a new home with KPMG in Saudi Arabia, joining the firm as Head of its Integration & Separation practice.

Appointed a Senior Director, based in Riyadh, Hassan Alami brings around 25 years of experience in transformation and mergers & acquisitions experience to KPMG. His track record spans both the pre-deal and post-deal phases, with extensive experience in post-merger integration and separation/carve-out projects.

Now at the helm of KPMG’s Integration & Separation practice, a service line within the Deals business, Alami leads a team that helps public institutions, private sector clients and private equity firms with pre-deal planning and post-deal implementation services.

“I am excited to be taking on this role and look forward to leveraging my experience and supporting KPMG in the future,” Alami said of his latest challenge in the professional services landscape.

He most recently led the Deals Strategy & Operations practice of PwC in the Middle East, and before that, he spent 20+ years at EY. Working out of Paris (as well as holding stints in Casablanca and Dubai), he latterly oversaw the Operational Transaction Services & Divestiture Advisory Services offering of EY for France, Maghreb and Luxembourg. In his early career he served Arthur Andersen.

Alami has overseen complex cross-border engagements across various countries, including the US, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, the Middle East, China, India, Iran, and Brazil.

Sharukh Dumasia, Head of Deals at KPMG in Saudi Arabia, said: “We are honoured to welcome Hassan to our team. His exceptional skills and experience will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and success of KPMG as the preeminent professional services firm.”
