Global operations consultancy Argon & Co has appointed consulting veteran Jean-François Laget as Group Managing Director.
Jean-François Laget brings around 30 years of experience to the role, the past decade of which he has been with Argon & Co. Based out of the firm’s Paris office, Laget oversees the development of the company’s offices in 14 countries, its practices, and 500-strong team.
“I’m looking forward to taking over as Group Managing Director of Argon & Co and I’d like to thank all the partners for their confidence. I’m delighted to be able to rely on the high quality of our teams to continue our development and help our clients achieve their strategic and operational objectives,” he said.
Laget has been a member of Argon & Co’s Executive Committee since 2018. In his consulting work, he leads operations transformation and competitiveness programmes for clients, working across several industries, both in France and internationally, including aerospace & defence, railways, materials, industry and luxury goods.
“Jean François, with whom I have worked for five years, has the ideal profile to lead the group. His management experience in consultancies of different sizes and stages of growth, as well as his talent for getting people to work together, are fantastic assets in preparing for the future, and consolidating the structure of our group. Jean François and I will continue to work together to ensure the long-term future and independence of Argon & Co.”
Over the past five years, Argon & Co has scaled up to become a global player in the domain of strategic operations, supply chain, and procurement.
Kicked off with the 2018 Crimon & Co merger, the Paris-headquartered firm has since closed five deals, including R&G Global Consultants (Europe), Pollen Consulting Group (Australia), and Intent Group (New Zealand). Backed by investor Ardian, Argon & Co also drove an organic growth campaign to lift its headcount from 150 consultants five years ago to over 500 today.
“Over the last years, the business has grown tremendously. I’m delighted to have been part of this growth journey and look forward to helping the firm embark on its next chapter of growth,” said Laget.
Earlier in his career, Laget worked for Capgemini Invent, Oliver Wyman, and Corporate Value Associates. He is an engineer by background.
