KPMG has promoted Shadi Abuserryeh to Senior Director within its Advisory division in Saudi Arabia.

Shadi Abuserryeh has been with the global audit, tax, and advisory firm since 2013, working in its Enterprise Risk Services (ERS) division across areas such as enterprise risk management, financial risk management, internal audit, corporate governance, and compliance services.

Now making the step up to Senior Director level, Abuserryeh will spearhead KPMG Saudi Arabia’s risk model development validation solution as well as the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) capability.

Prior to KPMG, Abuserryeh spent years working for investment and private equity groups in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. He also had spells at two other Big Four firms: Deloitte and EY. During his 24-year career he gained extensive experience in public accounting, consulting, and financial services, and a deep understanding of risk, accounting, and finance.

“Shadi has a strong track record with execution of several key engagements. In his new role, we trust him to further strengthen and build the team around our ERS offering, in particular focusing of risk development model validation,” said Khalid Yasin, Head of Enterprise Risk Services at KPMG in Saudi Arabia.

“I am delighted to take on my new role and look forward to continue building our solutions and capabilities to serve clients in the Kingdom,” said Abuserryeh.
