Global professional services firm FTI Consulting has launched its CFO advisory practice in the EMEA region, building on its existing presence in home market the United States.

The new practice, which goes to market as ‘Office of the CFO Solutions’, supports the chief financial officer with optimising the finance function and company-wide financial performance, while driving more insight and enterprise value.

According to Gina Gutzeit, who leads the practice globally, the launch comes at a time of strong demand from clients for expertise that can help them “navigate a complex environment” and “create sustainable value for their organisations”.

“The expansion of our services across EMEA is a testament to our commitment to helping finance executives succeed in their roles and enhance the performance of finance and accounting functions,” she said.

Diederick van der Plas, EMEA Head of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment at FTI Consulting, added, “Expanding our dedicated CFO advisory capabilities across EMEA will ensure that we continue to build on our ability to provide clients with tailored solutions that support the evolving risk, compliance and governance responsibilities that are now within the CFO’s remit.”

The practice will kickstart in the region with a number of offerings, including finance operations and technology: financial reporting, finance transformation, technology and data management, capital management: treasury; cost optimisation; working capital improvement; and operating model redesign for the finance function.

The EMEA team will be led out of the firm’s London office, with no further details released on its footprint across FTI Consulting’s 25+ offices in EMEA. The US team will support the EMEA team, building on its deep heritage in the domain, said New York based Gutzeit.

Globally, US-listed FTI Consulting has more than 7,700 employees located in 31 countries.
