International IT consultancy Delaware has accelerated the growth of its Salesforce practice with the acquisitions of Scalefactory and Cloud Innovation.
Both companies join Delaware in its home market Belgium, and add around 60 staff to its headcount. Juan Staes, partner at Delaware, said that the deal aligns with its ambitions to become a leading Salesforce player in the Benelux.
Traditionally known for its deep expertise in ERP technology from SAP and Microsoft, in 2020 Delaware kickstarted its ambition in the Salesforce domain. “The joining of forces with Scalefactory and Cloud Innovation is a logical next step in growing our capabilities, resources and expertise in the Salesforce platform,” said Staes.
Scalefactory was founded in 2009 by the duo Stijn Wijndaele and Erik Dierinck. The company has a strong track record in bringing Salesforce to the manufacturing, logistics and high-tech industries.
Cloud Innovation was established over a decade ago (2012) by Sven Peleman. The firm delivers Salesforce advisory and implementation services to clients across sectors, and also has a training wing.
“Working together, we can bring numerous benefits to our joint customers, including access to an even wider range of products and services,” said Staes.
Delaware’s ambition is to grow into “one of the leading expert Salesforce consultancies in Belgium and Luxembourg” in the next three years. Globally, the company has 4.600 staff in 19 countries.
With demand for Salesforce services on the rise as the US tech giant continues its expanding dominance in the CRM market, a growing number of consulting firms are turning to inorganic means in order to rapidly upsize their Salesforce capabilities. Notable deals include: the acquisition of Smplicity by BearingPoint (2023), Publicis Sapient’s bolt-on of Australian outfit Tquila (2023), and McKinsey’s purchase of S4G Consulting (2022).
