KPMG US has appointed Jason LaRue to the newly created role of national managing partner of talent and culture (T&C).

LaRue, who has been at KPMG for 18 years, will now oversee a team focusing on internal T&C operations and programs. He will work with other national managing partners to align T&C policies, processes, and programs with overall business strategy.

LaRue will continue to lead the Big Four firm’s internal total rewards practice, which encompasses compensation, performance development, benefits, wellbeing, and partner services.

“The introduction of this national managing partner role will enable the T&C team to sharpen its focus on the key objectives of driving integration and enabling a talent strategy for the business that helps to achieve our growth ambitions and support our people,” said Sandy Torchia, vice chair – talent and culture, KPMG US. “During his tenure at KPMG, Jason has made a measurable impact on the firm’s HR operations and I’m confident that his experience and skills are well-suited for this role.”

LaRue has over 20 years of experience in human resources and recruiting, with deep expertise delivering transformation programs, building high-performance teams, and creating business-aligned talent strategies and programs.

Before leading KPMG’s total rewards unit, LaRue was managing director of people strategy and solutions and director of senior talent acquisition for the advisory business.

Prior to joining KMPG in 2005, LaRue was an HR and recruiting professional at Bank of America and Management Recruiters International. He has a bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University.

“Supporting our people by cultivating a shared set of values, maximizing their capabilities, and focusing on their well-being are foundational to our firm’s culture—and continuing to align our business and talent strategies is key to our success,” said LaRue.
