PA Consulting, a global innovation and transformation consultancy, had revenue growth of 14% to reach £785 million ($980.9 million) in 2022.

The London-headquartered firm previously had record revenue growth of 24% in 2021 to reach £691.5 million. PA has grown its business 96% in the last five years.

The consultancy significantly expanded its headcount last year, adding over 1,300 new employees and appointing 52 new partners. PA in 2022 acquired The Cambridge Group, a Chicago-based growth strategy consulting firm, and Design Partners, an Ireland-based product design and innovation agency.

PA’s team of strategists, designers, engineers, and technologists work with clients across industries on end-to-end innovation engagements. Some of the firm’s notable client projects in 2022 included supporting Gjensidige – Norway’s leading insurance provider – on the design of a more cost-efficient delivery model and ways of working; helping Pret a Manger design a new digital customer experience and customer loyalty program; and helping US Wind, an offshore wind developer, prepare a successful bid to deliver offshore wind for the state of Maryland.

PA won several awards for its design work in 2022, including The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) Special Achievement Award, a Red Dot Award for designing the Backbone One mobile gaming controller, and two Fast Company World Changing Ideas Awards.
On the corporate social responsibility front, the firm launched the PA Foundation and committed to donating £10 million over the next five years. The company in 2022 donated £1.2 million to 20 charity partners in educational access, STEM, and social mobility. PA also gave over 10,000 hours of pro bono consulting last year.

“It has been another year of great accomplishments for PA as we’ve been bringing ingenuity to life. We’ve delivered superb results for our clients, creating lasting value for them,” Ken Toombs, CEO of PA Consulting, said. “The impact we’ve been able to have is down to our brilliant team. We’re a team of changemakers, and I’m so proud of PA’s incredible accomplishments: with our clients, with one another, and in the communities where we live and work. Together, we’re building a positive human future.”
