Australian tech services outfits have dominated the third cycle of Deloitte Private’s Best Managed Companies list, including returnees InfoTrack and Kinetic IT and new entrants TSA Group and AC3.
Professional services firm Deloitte has issued its latest annual Best ManagedCompanies (BMC) awards, with half of the eight recipients operating in the technology sector – led by multiple award-winners InfoTrack and Kinetic IT.
Now into its third year locally, the worldwide Best Managed Companies program recognises privately-owned and managed companies that are setting the highest standards of business performance.
An initiative of Deloitte Private, the BMC awards were first established thirty years ago in Canada and have since spread to 46 countries across the Americas, Europe and Australasia, with a launch pending in Africa. The global reach of the program provides an operational benchmark of more than 1,300 companies worldwide by which to assess the best performers in key areas, including strategy, culture, innovation, governance and financials.
“Out of Covid-19 we have seen our winners of Best Managed Companiesdemonstrate the agility and resilience that are needed to drive sustained success,” Deloitte Private’s national managing partner Andrew Culley said of this year’s cohort. “With well-developed, future-focused business models and strategies they are responding to changing economic environments, customer needs and market channels and are very clearly navigating their futures with confidence.”
Four companies returned to this year’s list, including property industry SasS provider InfoTrack for a third straight year, and Perth-based IT service provider Kinetic IT. They were joined by Sydney construction company ADCO and Adelaide’s Flinders Port Holdings in the logistics category, while two further tech companies, Perth’s customer experience solutions provider TSA Group and cloud services specialist AC3 of Sydney, were new to the list.
Melbourne-based Deloitte Private partner Natalie Faull, who leads the BMC program for the Asia Pacific, said that the 2022 winners had well and truly emerged from the challenges of Covid-19. “They successfully navigated the pandemic, but they also used this time of so much upheaval and uncertainty to transform their operations, adopt new digital technologies and build resilience into their business models to drive change, opportunity and growth.”
To be eligible for the program, companies need to be Australian majority-owned or have their global headquarters in the country, and to have been in operation for at least three years with in excess of $100 million in revenues generated in their past financial year.
The winners receive coaching from leading business advisors over an eight-month period, in addition to networking opportunities at exclusive events and other promotional opportunities.
