International accounting and advisory firm Grant Thornton has added Christine Cornish to its partner team in Sydney.

Appointed a member of the Transfer Pricing team, Christine Cornish brings 20 years of experience in transfer pricing to the firm, gained both in professional firms and inhouse tax teams.

Sydney-based Cornish arrives at Grant Thornton from Pitcher Partners, where she was director in the transfer pricing practice. She previously spent eleven years at EY, and worked for big four banks NAB and ANZ.

“Christine is a great addition to our team,” said Sandie Boswell, National Managing Partner for Tax at Grant Thornton.

“Due to the nature of transfer pricing and its often-complex tax implications, Christine’s specific experience and expertise, and in particular her knowledge of the finance industry means she will bolster our offering to clients and help them expand and grow their businesses.”

Grant Thornton’s transfer pricing team helps clients across the transfer pricing lifecycle, both nationally and cross-border in the case of multi-jurisdictional business. The team is part of the firm’s 200-strong Tax practice.

“It’s great to join Grant Thornton’s specialist transfer pricing team, and I am excited to understand our client’s unique challenges and transfer pricing needs in this complex international environment,” Cornish said.

“The need for assistance in this space is becoming increasingly important, particularly with the growing digital economy providing businesses with new opportunities to expand into other countries.”
