BDO has kicked off the week with a new partner, welcoming Harsh Vardhan to the leadership team of its Risk Advisory practice.
Based in BDO’s Melbourne office, Harsh Vardhan has over 18 years of experience in audit, assurance, risk, compliance and transformation programs, gained across various sectors in both large and small organisations.
Welcoming Vardhan to the firm, the managing partner of BDO’s Melbourne office, David Garvey said, “Harsh is extremely client focussed – he builds strong and trusting relationships and delivers custom risk solutions that acknowledge the unique needs and challenges of the clients’ business.”
Vardhan joins BDO from KPMG, where he was a director in the firm’s risk consulting wing. Prior to that, he worked in the financial services industry, spending close to a decade in risk and assurance roles at UniSuper, National Australia Bank, and La Trobe Financial. Vardhan kicked off his career in professional services, at PKF and EY.
A qualified Chartered Accountant and an MBA holder, Vardhan helps clients with developing risk management strategies and the subsequent implementation of underlying aspects including risk culture and behaviours, risk operating structures, appetite and metrics, controls development and assurance, risk governance and reporting, and risk processes and systems.
