South Australia has welcomed yet another technology consultancy to its ever-expanding fold, with fast-growing Sydney-based Salesforce and Mulesoft specialist Mav3rik setting up shop in Adelaide.

Sydney-based consultancy Mav3rik is making a move on the South Australian market with the launch of a new office in Adelaide, the Salesforce and Mulesoft specialist’s fifth in a network further spanning outlets in Melbourne, Perth and Manila.

Founded in 2018, Mav3rik has grown its headcount considerably over the past two or so years to a team of around 80 professionals, and is currently on the lookout for additional talent.

“We’re excited to bring our wealth of experience and leadership in government, healthcare, education and other focus sectors,” the company said of its South Australia expansion on LinkedIn. “We’ve been quietly forming the local Adelaide-based team while scaling up existing locations to support our growth and the various engagements we are looking forward to driving as we continue to innovate and transform with our clients and partners in the region.”

Speaking with online industry publication CRN, which last year awarded Mav3rik the sixth slot on its Fast 50 list of the country’s fastest growing IT and digital services providers, co-founder Richard Enojas stated that South Australia had always been top of mind for the company due to the state’s highly innovative culture and “strong interest from both public and private sectors to adopt market-leading, cloud-based innovations.”

News from the advanced technology and consulting sector has been coming thick and fast out of Adelaide over the past few years, with the city pivoting toward becoming one of the world’s leading research and technology hubs. Concentrated around the Lot Fourteen science and innovation epicenter, big name tenants to arrived in recent times include Microsoft’s Azure Space, Amazon Web Services, Nokia, Google Cloud and Airbus.

Some of the world’s largest consulting firms have also been flocking to Adelaide to establish new service and tech centres, creating thousands of local jobs and acting as a lightening rod for skilled and aspiring talent. PwC alone expects to create 2,000 new positions over the next five years, while Deloitte and Accenture and are due to add many more again after choosing the state for their own specialised technology hubs.

It’s against this backdrop that Mav3rik is on the hunt for its own ‘top-notch’ digital talent, presently advertising for a range of vacancies in Australia including a lead Salesforce consultant, solution and technical architects, and a senior developer among other positions. Among those recently appointed in Adelaide is delivery lead Michelle Jakeman, who crosses from KPMG and has previously spent more than two decades between Capgemini and DXC Technology.
