One of the Middle East’s leading Amazon Web Services (AWS) consulting partners – Zero&One – has unveiled ambitious growth plans for the coming years. Backed by a freshly inked strategic agreement with AWS, Zero&One aims to double its workforce and grow towards the 500+ AWS certifications mark.
From its early beginnings in 2017, Zero&One has in the past years grown into a team of around 50 digital consultants and technologists operating out of Dubai and Lebanon.
A string of AWS awards and recognitions has seen the firm command the status of AWS Consulting Partner (making Zero&One the first homegrown Middle East consultancy to have reached this band), and on the back of their collaboration so far, the two companies have now inked a deal that marks the “next chapter” of Zero&One’s journey.
At the heart of the strategic agreement lies the ambition for Zero&One “to double its workforce and attain 500+ AWS certifications”, said Ali El Kontar, the Founder and CEO of Zero&One.
To realise this goal, both Zero&One and AWS will invest in people, new services, and technology – geared at strengthening Zero&One’s cloud consulting and implementation services on the AWS backbone, while meeting booming demand for cloud services.
Headquartered in the United States, AWS is one of the globe’s three largest providers of cloud services and solutions. In the Middle East, AWS supports its clients from three hubs, with the likes of Aramex, Careem, Emirates, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre on the company’s growing roster of clients.
In support of its clients, AWS works with a vetted group of external consulting and technology partners, with Zero&One one of the just eleven partners in the top-tier level: Consulting Premier Partner (among them is also PwC, which last year took a stake in Zero&One).

According to a 2022 study by AWS released in parallel with company’s launch in the UAE, growing cloud adoption in the Middle East can “deliver billions in value” to the region, both in the public and private sector, unlocking thousands of new jobs in the process.
